| Giant Danios with Cons? Would a school of giant danios (5-6) be okay in a 55 gallon aquarium with convicts/jellybean convicts or are they too peaceful? |

| I just know that convicts can be nasty buggers. I dont have any experience with Giant Danios however. |

| i think they would be fine if the cons werent breeding, but don't trust my judgement, wait for someone that has tried it before or something |

| If it's a breeding pair - NO.
But I have a female alone in a community tank & she does just fine. |

| Well, they're coming from Shawnie and we know what her water's like, so I'm guessing they'll end up breeding
No giant danios, then. I'll put them off as an "in the future fish". My oscar's already on that particular list
Thanks you all! I don't want massacres in my tanks. |

| I am so torn as far as the sex of the cons. Part of me wants m/f so they can truly pair, but I'm also wanting to make sure I can take responsibility for any fry that occur.
I can put giant danios in with the JD and the RTS? Did I understand that right? If so, you just made my day-AGAIN!
I definitely want all of the cons in the bedroom with me That way, I can enjoy their antics right before I go to sleep Sometimes, I leave Karma's light on with the other lights off so I can watch her watching me. She gets playful when she knows I'm watching her. It's so cool. |

again, you get till friday to decide LOL ..so much for sleeping again today.... |

If so, I could leave Cena (the RTS) in the 55 in the family room, add some giant danios, and maybe something else later on.
Whatcha think? |

Whatcha think? | yes on the jd, jellys, and cons...(IF you get all females) I have 2 males right now that are pushing over 6 inches but the fems stay about 4 and are less agressive.. |

I'm really wanting at least one (or two) males since we're pretty sure Karma's a female. I'd love to have a big old boy convict, too. I'll just put the giant danios off until a later time. Having a male con is more important to me. I'm not looking to breed (although I'm sure they will), I just like the sheer size of them. I'd be fine with having all males if they'd get along. |

It's generally pretty easy to tell the males from the females.
Buenos Aires tetras may be a good addition with your cons/jellybeans/JD... they are fast, they grow large (for a tetra), and are tough and scrappy. |
