Aquarium Stocking Questions Use this board for aquarium stocking questions. Do NOT follow the 1 inch per 1 gallon of aquarium water recommendation that you will often hear at the local fish store. Stock your freshwater aquarium lightly and sensibly and if you need help with stocking your tank post your questions on this aquarium stocking board.

Getting a 10 Gallon JEBO cube. Stocking?

I'm getting a 10-12 gallon JEBO cube.

Was thinking of moving my betta and ADF into it and having a nicer tank for them. They're cramped in a 3 gallon right now, so that would be ideal. I would add some other stock to the cube, and probably use the 3 gallon as a shrimp tank, or maybe get a female betta and a shrimp or two.

Another option is moving the ADF out of there, and putting it in with some other fish in the cube and leaving the Betta in the 3.

Thoughts?

Any suggestions? I've read that the powerhead in the JEBO (r338) creates a somewhat strong current, so not sure whether the betta will work.

yea in that case you may not want the betta in there but you could do a small reef tank with a clownfish and some shrimp

I'm not familiar with power heads, but if it's that strong, I'd be hesitant about putting an ADF in there.

You could try to make some sort of baffle for the outlet... IE a filter sponge and string sort of thing that would make the current weaker. I've made them before with success.

Thought about that, but not sure how well it would work.

I'm considering some dwarf puffers for the tank. I heard they do good with Otos and have read of people having success with ADF as well.

Any thoughts on that?

ADF's do good with larger fish that are not likley to eat it such as communtity tetras or loaches.

As long as it's made well and secure; it should work great. When making it, the trick is to experiment!
