| 114 gal. stocking It's a 114 gal. TALL, so keep that in mind.
4 foot tank - I already know that my baby common is going in (my mom wants to keep him) and at least 2 Convicts.
I want to get an Oscar - but I'm finding that no one besides Petsmart sells good variety of them. My LFS sell owner turn - ins, but they're already pushing 9 in., and I want to watch mine grow up. Even Aquabid doesn't have may to choose from - only 2 sellers.
So my questions is - what other large cichlids could be kept in the tank? What else could be kept with the Oscar of I find one? |

| hmmm an oscar would do better in a longer tank..i know you want them badly...can you think, and im only saying think, about finding a trader of a tank that might be 100 gal long for yours? (tank only) ...as bad as you want them and have wanted them, it might be worth it...then ill find you some and ship them to you (thats what I would do if i had the options...i misss my pair so so so much!!) |

| Congrats on having a tank that big to play with. From what I've read on oscars( I too want one) convicts aren't the best tankmates for them, but you might be okay with the extra room in the tank. As far as other cichlids eartheaters, severums, and acaras can make good chooses. Try www.thatpetplace.com they usually have some nice cichlids. |

| Well, it has the same foot-print as a 75 gal., and many people have kept an Oscar in that size. I'm still looking around at my LFS to see what is available - I've come to the conclusion of not much.... |

| Well, the common plec has to go in there at least until he reaches an unmanageable length. I'm not sure if I want a pair or not, if they start breeding I'm afriad they'll beat on the other inhabitants. How would a GT fit in? Too aggressive?
Shawnie - if the store still has some when I start stocking, I'll ship one to you. lol.
I know they have them now, not sure how well they sell though. |

| Where does the GT fit in on the aggression scale?
I don't want the others to get the tar beat out of them. lol.
Oh - and I put the parrot in the 20 with the jelly, I'll see how it goes through the night. There was some aggression from BOTH parties, I hope it's a m/f pair though. |

I think he was an anomaly though. |

| Hmmm...
maybe 1 GT and 1 EBJD then. They're both so gorgeous, I really want my mom to like these tank inhabitants, she's not happy about this tank. |
