I need to move my blood parrot cichlid from a 10 gallon tank up to a 20 gallon. I would like put at least one other fish in the aquarium with him, but I am unsure what other fish would be compatible. Any advice on new tankmates?

pearl gourami but i don't know blood parrot's kind of need like 40-50g tank

BR Parrots need a larger tank than 20 gal. I would keep him alone if that's the biggest tank he'll be in. They are cichlids, so can be aggressive at times. They like to stake out their own territory.

agreed, IMO the 20 gallon is a bit too small for him so i wouldnt add any other tankmates
