Aquarium Stocking Questions Use this board for aquarium stocking questions. Do NOT follow the 1 inch per 1 gallon of aquarium water recommendation that you will often hear at the local fish store. Stock your freshwater aquarium lightly and sensibly and if you need help with stocking your tank post your questions on this aquarium stocking board.

Looking for ideas for a 'Center piece' fish for my 75gallon

Our red tail shark died
The tank looks empty without him-he was the biggest fish and had such personality.

Were going to wait a while, but I decided to search out some ideas- we would like a center piece fish and need some suggestions.
Not another red tail shark or a rainbow shark.

We have a peaceful commuinty freshwater tank and would like a fairly active fish that doesnt hide all the time as the 'center piece' fish.

We got three upside down catfish a few weeks ago and they are fun to watch, but rarely come out of the castle.

I like the kissing gourami's, but know little about them.

i'm sorry you lost him

how big would you like the centerpiece fish to be? you have quite a bit of room to play with, a couple of blood red parrots would look great!

I'm pretty open to size and open to having 2 or three medium sized 'center piece' fish..
I dont know if I like the look of the blood parrots....
Will the severum (neat looking) be too aggressive for my small fish (betta, platies, corys)??

What about 3 Silver Dollars? They get up to about 6 inches, too big? But they are peaceful. I have 3 myself and just love them.

They are cute-Silver dollars, but I read that they eat plants and that would not be good for the few live plants I have...darn...

Perhaps some angels. Red eye striped ones get pretty big.

I have to vote for Bloody Parrots too. They will hide and be shy for a month but watch out after that. I couldn't get mine to hide now if I wanted them too. Wonderful fish.

My husband and I love angels, but found out they were a No, since we have a betta in the tank.

Also, I think the B Parrots are cute, but chris can't stand them..so no go there.
But we do love our new Blue Neon Valentine...the search is over!!!
