What kind are you interested in? Peaceful community? Aggressive? Schooling?

There are way too many combos of fish for people to list without knowing what your interests are.

Umm... probably not schooling, since I like being able to tell my fish apart, but I don't care if my fish are agressive or community. In other words; I would be just as happy keeping a betta as some platys.

how bout cichlids? there are some cichlids that dont get very big

How about guppies? They're are pretty. They come in all kinds of colors and tail types and you can tell them apart.

Maybe add a Dwarf Gourami to the mix? I don't know much about them, so you might want to see what others say about the compatibility.

Does anyone know much about Pearl Gouramis? I think they're beautiful!

They are beautiful but make sure if you get a male get 2 females. I had 2 males and 2 females and the Alpha male worried the smaller male to his death.
