i was wondering how many African Cichlids i could put in a 55g and if all african Cichlids will get along and are their any that will eat live plants?

With African Cichlids, overstocking is a GOOD thing. The less cichlids that are together, the more aggressive they tend to get. The more, the less aggressive. There are too many to just pick on one - they get lost in the crowd in a sense.

Oh, and NO, not all of them get along.
Research long & hard before you stock, or you'll run into aggression & compatibility problems like no tommorrow. I know from expierence.
