| Beware what type of pleco you buy if you're set on getting one.
Commons can reach 18 inches.
Angels can not be in with tiger barbs, they'll tear at it's fins. |

| You could always add more tigers - that way you'll really be able to see the schooling effect. |

| You could have green tigers, they're different looking, but will still school with the others. |

| i might be able to in a min. is there any more exoic fish you could suggest that are still small enough for my tank? not barbs |

| Well, most types of tetras? You could add a small school of neons or something similar, neons are very pretty fish, the look very exotic too, not sure how they would look with tigers though... |

| I'm not sure if the tigers will leave the neons alone. Tigers like to chase and nip. |

| i might get some...last time i tried to put fish in this tank i wasnt very prepared and i put 2 kissing gouramis and a clown pleco in there.... they were cool while they lasted |
| |

|
| | Fish Master
| Ah yeah, Kissing Gouramis can get to be a foot long...I can see how that didn't work out.
A clown pleco should be okay in your tank. |

| well i think part of the problem was that i didnt have a very good filter and i had one plant in the tank...i was also told that gouramis and plecos arent very good starter fish |
| |

|
| | Fish Master
| That depends, plecos have a huge bioload, and most beginners aren't prepared for that. Gouramis are a relative of the betta, and have similar needs. Most gouramis get much larger than a betta, except the Sparkling Gourami. |
