Aquarium Stocking Questions Use this board for aquarium stocking questions. Do NOT follow the 1 inch per 1 gallon of aquarium water recommendation that you will often hear at the local fish store. Stock your freshwater aquarium lightly and sensibly and if you need help with stocking your tank post your questions on this aquarium stocking board.

g'morning..
Well Ive had angel fish with Discus for almost two years now.(22 months) I did have to move out one of the angel fish due to it being aggressive towards the other angel. So the remaining angel in the 55 with two large Discus does chase a Discus around the tank at times, but nothing ever comes of it. I would separate them if I thought it was bad. Angels are cichlids along with the Discus who also chase each other around the tank from time to time.
You can at times come across a real aggressive fish no matter what the species and it will really come down in the end to the personality if they will work together or not. I do not know what size tank you are thinking of added these two species in, but I would advice against keeping them in anything smaller than a 55g tank.

I am adding a link below for you. There are a number of great articles to read up on while you are doing your research. It explains the nitrogen cycle which is an important first step in fish keeping.
You will find a lot of valuable information there to help you along.
