hey guys. i think i read that convict cichlids are not aggressive. well i went to the fish store today and i was going to get convicts until i heard that they are some of the most aggressive cichlids. is this true? my dad said that they are hearty,and friendly. could there be something i could be getting them mixed up with like another cichlid? maybe the gold convict? thank you for you info!

Gold and regular convicts are the same species, just different color morphs.
They are aggressive, especially when breeding.
Which is constantly, once they become adults.

Yup i was gonna say the same thing my 1 con is real aggro sometimes.

In my LFS, the have an agressive section. All the chichlids are there.
