Suggestion for my new 60 gallons tank

I recently got a new 60 gallons tank with about 15 African Cichlids, 2 guppies and about 8 feeders inside with one common pleco. All these guys get along well and I do not see them chase it other around a lot. When they chase each others around, it seems like they are playing instead of fighting for territory.

I did a lot of research on the Cichlids and I know that I need to have a lot of rocks for them and all to create their natural habitat. I have these Cichlids since they were very little (in a 20 Gallons tank with basically the same decors) until now and they seem to be very happy with the environment they are in.

However, I am not that experience with these awesome little guys (the Cichlids) so I would like you guys to help me out and give me any tips possible. I am planning to move the bridge out and move those two mountains decor to the middle and have the left side for some big rocks so the Cichlids can have something they call home. I am aiming for a half half tank. As in the right side will be more planted while the left side will be mostly rocks.

I hope you guys like my tank and I am open to all suggestions!

Thank you!!!

welcome to fishlore!! the tank is a good looking tank for sure with some weird mixtures LOL ...first time ive heard of cichlids and guppies as well as goldies (feeders) living together...goldies need cooler temps and cichlids are somewhat more agressive..but I guess theres an acception to every rule....also, you have some nice looking betta's and they will love you to no end if you can get them into the 20 gal you had your cichlids in with a divider, heater, and filter...goodluck with the new tank!

I do have a 20 gallons ready for those Betas. I am just a little too lazy to set it up right now for them. I have to work on a divider first and all before I put them in there. The thing I have them in seems small because it's from the side view. It's a decent size for them and they have plenty of room to move around (although of course a 20 gallons would be a lot better.)

It is an odd mixture. I bought a bunch of guppies to use to feed my turtles and my two big gold fish (one died .) All of them died except for the black one and he seems to really get along with the Cichlids and the goldfish so I decided to keep him. I did the same thing again and this time one of the white guppies survived and stay strong so I decided to keep him also.
