Aquarium Stocking Questions Use this board for aquarium stocking questions. Do NOT follow the 1 inch per 1 gallon of aquarium water recommendation that you will often hear at the local fish store. Stock your freshwater aquarium lightly and sensibly and if you need help with stocking your tank post your questions on this aquarium stocking board.

Hi Moe,
I've given my opinion on your profile, so I'm glad you found your way here. You'll get plenty more help here from other members.

Good luck.

betta should be house alone with ottos or cories, or even a bristle nose pleco (if in a10g)

In a 5 gallon you could only house one betta, there isnt room for a mollie (they grow big and need to live with more of their kind). OR one ADF.

Mollies Ideally should be housed with at least 4 other mollies, and their minimum tank requirement is 20 gallons.

there are no dwarf guppies.
guppies need to be at least in a group of three and need at least 10 gallons because they are active fish.

So, youre saying there is no mollie? you only have that one guppy?

What I meant is that there isnt such species as dwarf guppies.

also one mollie, three guppies and one ADF is severely overstocking your tank. I wouldnt recommend anything less than 20 gallons for those fish.

At least I would get a 10 gal for the livebearers, and then leave the frog in the 5

I asked these questions in your other thread.

It would be helpful if we knew what your water reading are. Do you have a test kit?

What temperature is the tank?

Are there decorations, plants, a little cave or something for everyone to hide in?

Ideally like was suggested above, you should get a 10g for the fish and leave the frog in the 5g.

Good luck.

What's it's leg covered with? Is it possible she's molting? They shed their skin regularly.

Is there a reason you're not answering my questions?

We'd really like to help you.

I thought you said that Bloomer was dead in one of your posts above?
I do not usually say this.. I hope you do not take it the wrong way. But there are a lot of youngsters who have tanks and are mature enough to handle the responsibilities that come with it. And how they do that is they research.. and read links that are given them in order to know how to take care of fish and tanks. Keeping fish is not as easy as it seems, as you are finding out.
I am not the type to discourage fish keeping but it may be that you should wait awhile before you really get into fish keeping and do some reading and learn the important first steps before you go out and buy more fish. It may be the best thing for you and your fish.

If there's fake plants in your tank, they'll be able to get away from each other for tonight.
At this point they're probably stressed from the move. Please don't poke her.
Frog's don't move very much, when I first got mine, I thought he was dead every 1/2 hr.
Let them rest for tonight.
Tomorrow ask your mom if she'll take the frog or the other fish back to the store.
As you found out, they're not going to be able to live together in your tank.
I know you love them and it will be hard for you to do, but it will be the responsible thing for you to do.

thank but its mostly just the frog I mean my fish is picking on the guppies but she barrley knows there ther. My frogs leg is the prob and I can barely go to to sleep! I even went to my sibling old room because I didn't wanna think bout it! Tomorrow can u tell me what to do with the frog if she's alive? It would help me if in 15 hours or something u could explane what to do. Thank you from Moe

you dont even know your full water parameters do you?

I would seriously consider capekates advice, and please dont act like you are ignoring the posts it is very rude.

I just woke up and my frog is gone I think it moved two times the sat there. But it couldn't be my molly because they don't have teeth. But I think my mollies being nicer because she didn't nip or try to chase them! Even my baby guppie she didn't notice! I'm gonna keep watching them but there okay right now. Bye from moe
