according to my calculations... Please someone correct me if I am wrong as I am not 100 percent sure of this... with this tank size (and if the amount of fish allows it) You could have my dream fish! a giant gourami!!!!!!! I have heard that the minimum requirement for them is 200 gallons!
or maybe Im just dreaming... but still, THAT is an awesome aquarium! you could have bala sharks too! (still dreaming)

Ok Everyone I Dont Know If Any Of You Really Care To Much But I Have Been On The Phone All Morning And Have Found A Company That Will Make Me 2 Tanks And Stands For The Same Price As I Would Be Paying For The 2nd Hand 6ft Tank, I Am Now Getting A 6ft X 2ft X 2ft Tank, But It Wont Be Ready For 14days So In The Mean Time I Have Decied My Fish Cant Stay Where They Are For That Long So The Have A 3ft X 1.5ft X 2ft Tank Made Up And Ready 2 Go Im On My Way To Pick It Up In 30mins Can Any One Suggest Anything I Should Or Be Good To Help My Fish With The Change? Later On I Will Move The Fish To The Large Tank And Maybe Try My Hand At Breeding Or Put A Small Salt Water Tank 2gether Using The 3ft

In your other thread, there was a question as to whether your existing tank is cycled.
You'd be best to pick up a test kit for ammonia, nitrites and nitrates. The API master kit is highly recommended, stay away from the strips, they're inaccurate.
Test the old tank, if your readings are 0 for both ammonia and nitrites with some nitrates showing, the tank is cycled.
If it is, you could move your filter, substrate and decorations to seed the new tank with beneficial bacteria.
Or pick up some Tetra Safe Start it's supposed to cycle your tank, although I don't have personal experience with it, several members have had good results.

no its not correct..prime is a water conditioner and needs to be added every 24 hours with your water changes....

Your off to a good start seeding the tank, it shouldn't take long to cycle as long as the gravel was kept wet and warm
I believe your thinking of Tetra Safe Start or Bio Spira, which cycles your tank. Prime is a water conditioner, as Shawnie said.
