Well, I may be getting a 50 or 55 gallon fish tank soon, however, I won't be setting it up for a while (a year or so due to school). I really like Firemouth Cichlids, so I want those in there. This is what I was thinking,

1 Firemouth
3 or 4 Synodontis nigriventris (Upside Down Catfish)

Does this sound like it may work? Or anyone have any other suggestions for tankmates for a Firemouth. I kinda would like a Synodontis species of some kind, so if you have a suggestion that includes them, it'd be great Thanks,

That would actually be a really good setup. The nigriventris are schoolers, so doing 3 or 4 of them with 1 firemouth is a very smart idea, in my opinion.
