Hi James welcome to Fish Lore

I'm sorry but 12 liters (a little over 3g) isn't big enough to have frogs and fish.

I had been advised that for 2 frogs you need at least 5g.

About the only fish you might be able have would be a betta, but even that would be best in 5g or more.

If you chose either of them (not both) you would need a heater and a filter.

Do you know about the nitrogen cycle? Please read this and cycle fish less or frog less, it will save you a lot of work and stress and possibly the lives of whatever you choose to put in it.

Good luck and feel free to ask any questions.

Bronze corys are 3" each full grown... I think 2 ADF's and 3 Bronze corys is stocked in a 12gal.

Ah 12g, lol, ok
I'm new to frogs, but from what I've read bottom feeders aren't good tank mate for frogs. They hunt by smell because their eyesite is that good, the cory would probably get to the food faster, risking the health of your frogs.

Peaceful fish that prefer the middle or top areas of the tank would be a better choice. Again, you have to make sure the frogs get their food before quick little fish get to it.

Your frog can eat anything smaller than he is and anything bigger can eat him, so becareful.

I hope this was helpful.
Good luck.

I have 2 adf's. I had them in a small tank for a while but i found that I didn't have time to maintain my 2nd tank so I moved them from this tank into my large one. I thought at first that due to the size of my tank I would never see them again, especially as it's densely planted. But they are very active in my tank and I see them swimming around very often.
I have a mix of fish in my tank and noe of them seem to bother the frogs.

Although my plec seems to get easily irritated by them at feeding times as the frog will often crawl on top of the fish without realising.

My only advice is to keep away from bottom dwelling/feeding fish.

Also - they can strike as fins occasionally so maybe avoid fish with larger/ swaying fins.unless you have a larger tank.

addition to above - my main problem with frogs and fish is that you have to be careful to ensure that the frogs are getting food.

My frogs often emerge a few minutes after the food is introduced - by which time most of it is eaten.

- i'll often feed them separetely (directly placing food for them) or distracting fish with a small cube of bloodworm, whilst placing another small block near the frogs (when I can find them)

- hope this helps.

ADF's are aquatic frogs, they don't need to sit out of the water.

Given the chance, they can escape, believe me, I found that out, so be careful they can dry out quickly. Luckily, i found mine in time.

I bought a couple yesterday for my son's new tank and paid $6.99 each for them. I will say that the store that I bought them at is typically a little higher than PetSmart.

No problem with the questions, I'm new to them too, got my first one close to a month ago and my daughter bought me another last week, he's in the quarantine tank for the next month. I've been reading all I can get my hands on about them.

There was an opening in the lid where the filter hangs on, I covered all but maybe 1/2" inch and 1/4" width of it. I guess somehow he squeezed through it. I found him hopping across the floor. Thank goodness the cat was asleep somewhere.

Here's some info you both should read:

Don't give them any dry bits, they'll just leap right out of your tank, and you'll likely lose them. They're aquatic so they'll happily swim around.

Mine cost me £2.50 each.

I feed them frozen blood worm or frozen seamonkeys, sometimes treat them with fresh bloodworm,

they're good fun and something a little different.

For those who don't know, £2.50 is roughly $5.00.
