all alone

Betta's aside is there another type of fish that do well in a tank by themselves? I'll be inheriting a 10 gal tank soon and will have my 2.5 gal available. It's kind of a nice little tank so I hate to pack it up. Any idea's? I don't mind doing water changes ect. more often if that's what I'll have to do.

Do you have a filter and heater for it? A shrimp tank would be cool.

It's a kit that I got last year so there's an undergravel filter and if I could find a little totally submersible heater I could have one. The tempature usually sits around the 21 C mark normally. If you leave the light on for a few hours it'll rise to about 25 C max.

I suggested shrimp, but I'm not sure how shrimp would handle an undergravel filter.

The thing with that kind of filter is a lot stuff gets trapped under it and it can get nasty before you realize it.

Guppys and white clouds both need a mimimum tank size of 10gal - so thy are out of the question. A Dwarf puffer would be a cool fish to have in there - or a Betta!

Maybe I'll look into the dwarf puffer or maybe another betta.
