So wat else can i add? no tetra, barbs, or danios.

The guppies and platies are going to breed like mad and will soon populate the tank on their own. Keep this in mind when determining the stock in the tank.
You could have some kuhlis and/or some cories.

Gourami might be good, but I would be careful with them right now, due to the iridovirus that is running around the fish stores of the world.

what about swordtails trio instead of platy. and yes i know the will breed.

If you get the livebearers, get all males. The last thing you want is them breeding! Swords would work, yes.

Kuhlis might eat the shrimp (The only fish 100% safe with shrimps are otos and plecos!) and the platys might as well. A gourami would deffinatly eat shrimp! So would cichlids. So, what about Rainbowfish? And of course, don't forget tetras, danios and rasboras. 3 small schools of schooling fish (Like 6 Dwarf neon rainbows, 8 Neon tetras and 6 Harlequin rasboras) would make this tank!
