topping off the official

Yes, the final stock, it's interesting, it's active, and everything I could want in a community. The stock is as follows:

1 Bristlenose Catfish - Major Cleanup crew ~ 6"
1 Flying Fox - Cleanup assistance ~ 6"?

10 Neon Tetras - Main focus, mid level activity ~13-15"
3 Angelfish - (Koi, Marble, Gold) mid/upper level activity ~15"

So, I have about 8" left, what do I add?

I was thining about mystery snails, but in my experience, they never helped, all they did was the job of a corydoras (without being cute, which is a really important factor in my book) and make ALOT of poo so to speak....

I was thinking about cories actually. I saw some nice ones down at my LFS. When I turned I saw a tankfull of Pearl Gouramis, my favorite "centerpiece", and as I made my way out the door, I saw some Lake Kutubu Rainbows.....

I read that the rainbows can be kept in only a pair so the male and female display to one another.

I would skip the Flying fox. It will stop eating algae as it matures and become nasty to the other fish.

The bristlenose will do a great algae cleanup on it's own. Corys would be nice.

Neons will become snacks for adult angelfish.

I read that If I got the neons first, let them grow to full size, and then get the angels, it wouldn't be much of a problem since the angels are younger, and as they grow, the neons will also. My brother's school office has 4 angels with a school of 9 neons, and I've been there in increments of every 2 months for a school function my whole family attends. The neons have been fine all the time.

The rainbows are schooling fish and really enjoy the company of others of its species. You can have a school of them and never have any aggression develop from it. Ive kept all kinds of rainbows and never had any problems with them.
