Aquarium Stocking Questions Use this board for aquarium stocking questions. Do NOT follow the 1 inch per 1 gallon of aquarium water recommendation that you will often hear at the local fish store. Stock your freshwater aquarium lightly and sensibly and if you need help with stocking your tank post your questions on this aquarium stocking board.

if you want dwarf gouramis, get only one... you could dare to get 2 but they are VERY territorial...

#1 Avoid the dwarf guorami for now. There's another discussion around here somewhere that DGs are being infected by an awful wasting disease that pretty much can't be fought.
#2, White clouds are temperate, and so prefer unheated tanks. They're hardy, so they'll do okay, but they would do excellent in a temperate tank.

All of the fish you're looking at are schooling fish, so you are going to be limited to two or three types (though you might be able to mix some to get mixed schools).
I would suggest cories (though you'll want to add them last. They prefer really stable water) for cleaning the substrate.
Maybe cherry barbs, black neons, and cories (That's what I'd pick off of that list, at least)

From that list I have in my 39g cories, danios, platies, and black neons, and they have been, well... GREAT!

you wont be dissapointed with the cherry barbs, they are really active little fish and a blast to watch! if you go with that setup though, you might be overstocking your tank a little, maybe you should drop either the tiger barbs or zebra danios and just get more corys. I would go with the tiger barbs becuase from what ive heard they can be pretty darn nasty at times. or you could get more cherry barbs!
