NO! 1 dwarf gourami, 1 platy and 2 Mystery Snails

I will only have male (livebearers so that they dont cross breed)

and I want to know how many so that I dont get sharp ammonia/nitrite spikes

ok.. my bf REALLY wanted guppies and we got two baby ones (little, but not enough to get eaten by my really mean gourami) and we also got four ghost shrimp....
after this, I think we'll get at least another platy and five-six neons.

counting on that i have a couple more questions one more question: how many more fishes could I get? I have been counting but i want to make sure I dont over-stock in any way.
and also I am open to suggestions

Ok... If I get 1 more guppy, one more platy and five neons I will have.... Probably space left for one more fish

any ideas for a non agressive, non schooling no-more-than-two-inches fish? is there any pleco or oto that fits this description? If not then what other fish could?

I would just stay with what you have..Like ppl have said understocked is better then over stocked (Though I know I am guilty of overstocking)

ok... my other dwarf gourami fell victim to that horrible iridovirus.
that leaves me with:
2 platies
4 guppies
2 mystery snails (one is a male 1 inch big and the other one a female 2 inches)
2 ghost shrimps

now, my plan is to get a school of five neon tetras and a small school of hatchetfish (heard the marble hatchets are small 1.5-2 in)

would I be terribly overstocked? would I be ok? how big is the minimum for a school so that I can get the two species or given my conditions is this imposible?

thanks for your patience

Ok... (sigh) my bf wants neons...

I tell him we have no room...

he says "take out a snail and put it in your betta tank"

I say "its still not enough..."

If I add live plants will it help me? (just asking if It does not work I wont do anything...)
