I read Coryd55's post and now Im thinking of setting up a themed community tank. The problem is I can't decide on a theme. I like gouramis, Danios, and loaches. I also find the SA fish neat. Maybe I could try CA fish. Im ganna upgrade to a 10-20g tank so I should have plenty of room. I need help.
I would go with the 20gallon...at least. Loaches get big (anywhere from 5" to 12") and if you want danios they need to be in groups of 6 or more (2" each), and gouramis are anywhere between 2"-6"...depending on the type.
how bout go 55gallon then you can have alot more ...IMO gourami's n loaches will be too territorial and too big to go into the 20...maybe some danios and tetras will be neat?..
Never mind on the CA tank, livebearers breed like rabitts. when I said loaches I mean dwarf chained or coolie loaches. But not a 55g, I dont have room for anything bigger than 30g. For a SA tank can I use any cat fish or does it need to be from SA? male black ruby barbs would look real nice. Or what about a dwarf chilide tank, dwarfs dont get much bigger that 3-inches.
