Okay...

I'm reconsidering about the soon to come 50 gallon and I'm thinking of simply starting fresh w/ my 20 gallon. I want to have a stock that works around a school of 10 harlequin rasboras. any suggestions if i do make this decision?

Theres tons of fish that can go with harlequin rasboras. Pretty much any peaceful fish will be perfect with these. I have had them with platies, guppies, guorimis, various tetras, angel fish, hatchet fish, dojo loaches, rainbow shark (although never hurt any fish, the shark did love to chase all fish all day every day so thats an iffy choice), plecos. Really the choices with rasboras are limitless. Just be sure not to get fish who get agitated at fast,constantly moving fish. Also if wanted to get a bunch of fish to compliment 10 rasboras might want to go with the 50 gallon after all. Can't put too many more fish in with 10 rasboras in a 20 G tank.
