Aquarium Stocking Questions Use this board for aquarium stocking questions. Do NOT follow the 1 inch per 1 gallon of aquarium water recommendation that you will often hear at the local fish store. Stock your freshwater aquarium lightly and sensibly and if you need help with stocking your tank post your questions on this aquarium stocking board.

They are fine for now, but if the mollies have babies you can get over crowded fast.

Do you know about the nitrogen cycle? You need to read the article at the top of the page, under "ARTICLES", on the nitrogen cycle.

If you didn't cylce your tank before adding fish you need to start testing, and doing water changes as the article suggests. Your fish may start getting sick from ammonia poisening very soon.....

that stock should be fine, I'm unsure bout specific species compatibility though.

From what you told me, your tank is set to go. Add the largest two fish first (probably the mollies), then add a couple every week after that. Don't over feed, and change the water once a week (20%). Everything should go smoothly.

Also keep a tabs on the odor of the water. It should smell fresh, like a fresh rain. Never dank, fishy, stale, or swampy. If it does smell bad you probably need more aeration.
