I am so excited after a whole day of cleaning...10 garage bags of stuff later (I could not believe it was so much).......I have room for up to a 48 inch long, and 24 inchs wide (and whatever tall, at least 17)...Which would be a 95 gal I think?

I have a very aggressive 5 inch pitcus and would like to add Oscar, Jack Dempsey, OR Parrot fish...or some combination of these three..How many would fit in the tank happily?

What are the ups and down of each fish? I have read articles and profiles for each fish, but you really only get one opinion there, so I'd like the extra imput..

Also should I go new or buy used tank? Aside from craigslist whats a good place to look?

Oscars I hear are very agressive, is it salt water or fresh/tropical?

and I think New. Used tanks are no fun! Because just think of whose fish have died'n'stuff in it. But thats just my opionion. Wal Mart is a good place to look for tanks. But with the holidays coming up most of them are gone. I got a good AquaCulture 16 gallon tank...But if your aiming for bigger then maybe a mall or something....

We've bought new & used tanks, so if you find a good deal and the tank looks good on real close inspection, could be worth taking home for a leak test. Garage/Yard & especially moving sales can be another place to find them.

I'm not too familiar with those cichlids, so I'll leave that to the more experienced cichlid owners to answer but I'm pretty sure that in a 95g tank, you could put 2 or maybe 3 Oscars OR JDs as far as space goes.

Id get 2 tiger oscars but if you like real beauty than Jack dempseys is truely the way to go i have heard of these fish EATING pictus although I think it would be ok if you add many hiding spaces just watch for any aggression as well
