Hey I was wondering if 2 Black Veil Angels, 6 Cherry Barbs, 6 Cherry Shrimp, 10 MTS, 2 BN Plecos, and 2 Clown Loaches would be overstocked in a 55 gallon. I replaced the Clown loaches for the kuhlis of my original stock scheme. They are my only concern of the overstock. I know they grow to be 1 foot but they live 20 years so I was wondering if this would be alright?

Why do I keep doubting the Kuhlis. Nevermind once again I'm sticking with them.

that might be a little overstocked, i dont know what MTS's are, you might want to leave out a couple kuhlis or MTS

Malaysian trumpet snails......they are itty bitty. Cherry shrimp are about 1-1.5 inch. Bn only 4-5 not 6. Kuhlis are 3-4.

I already know that this setup is not overstocked I was just wondering about replacing clown loaches for kuhli loaches. I decided to keep my old setup though.

Clown loaches would do alright in a 55g for 2-3 years, but after that would need a 75g with little else in it, or larger tank.

Clown loaches can live an unknown length of time, also, there is one at Shedd's Aquarium, Dino saw in 1986 that had been on display since 1938, when the aquarium opened.. So 48 years there, and we've not heard anything about it dieing, so it is probably still there.. which would make it almost 70..
