hey well im def new plant in my fish tank i bought 2 bamboo trees one is 3 in and the other is about a a foot long, also bought 2 small java plants i dont think its java moss. but how to i keep them health n growning i have gravel as substrait is that ok?

Java moss or Java fern should both be attached to wood or rocks in the aquarium & should not be planted in the substrate. They will both rot & die over time if they are planted in the substrate. It can be done with java fern if the roots are only just burried a little in the substrate but it cartainly is'nt reccomended. Bamboo isn't a true aquatic plant & though I've never used it in any of my tanks before I believe it doesn't grow but instead just sits there until it rots away. I could be wrong about the bamboo though because as I said I haven't used it myself before.

I've read in another post that someone was keeping the bamboo with the top out of the water
