Floating my Anacharis.

I read on PlantGeek that you can float Anacharis. The only problem is, mine won't stay afloat! The dang filter keeps stirring up the water so all my Anacharis is down at the bottom right now. Anybody have any ideas that may help? I tried raising the water level and that seemed to make it worse.

Never tried floating it myself so I don't know how bouyant it is naturally. If the filter is the reason why it won't stay afloat, is it possible for you to direct the filter flow in a different direction so that it pushes the Anacharis up instead of down?

Personally I would just plant it normally & patiently wait for the tendrils to reach the surface & spread themselves out.

You could tie a peice of styrofoam (or something else that floats) to it?

If you do that, use cork instead. Looks more natural & won't break down over time like styro can sometimes. Just note that if it's sinking then you would need lots of corks to get a decent amount of it to float.
Just as a side note corks wrapped in Java Moss work a treat to get it floating.
