cloning help

i have some wisteria plants that are out of control. I have nodes and roots above the substrate all over the place. My brother in law is setting up a tank. I plan to hook him up with some clones. However, I've never done this before. Any advice on clipping and transporting?

Peace
T.

I have bought plants (specifically water wisteria) from fish club auctions and they were in plastic bags with a good sprinkling of tank water.
Also, I have ordered other plants and they were sent through the mail wrapped in wet newspapers in plastic bags.

Both ways did fine.
Just don't let them get really cold or freeze. Also, wisteria stems can break or crush, so be gentle.

As far as clipping them goes, clip the stem below the node that has roots sprouting out and be sure to include upper the stem and leaves.
Plant the roots like normal in the substrate.

Send plants in fish bags with a little water. Be sure to inflate the bag so that the plants don't get crushed. Put the bags in a styrofoam box to protect them more & save them from fluctuations in temperature a bit.

Clip the plant off just below a node, (where a new branch or leaf is formed), so that you have a cutting of the desired size. Then simply poke it into the substrate. Make the cuttings smallish or they will struggle to keep the attatched vegetation alive while the roots form.
