I am trying to ID the small plants in this picture. I am refering to the small stalk plants with leaves growing from the stalk at intervals. They came somewhat bunched up, but I spread them out more when I planted them.

Identifying stem plants is always a challenge for me, but that picture made me think of something in the Rotala genus.

Yeah it looks a lot like the rotala rotundifolia but without the red tint

The red tint comes from large enough amounts of light and Co2. I have some Rotala R. that doesnt have any red either. It still grows great and seems happy enough.

I have to agree it looks like Rotala rotundifolia.
