Turning a Whoops into an experiment...

So I took a homework break and tinkered around with my ten gallon a bit. I trimmed some plants, fiddled with the filter output (finally got that slowed down) and while I was at it I grabbed my coffeefolia plant out b/c the sting algae was taking over it. I set it down beside the tank then went for water and topped off the tank, gave Ruby and Max their blood worms and guilt drove me back to homework at that point.

That was about two and a half hours ago... did you notice the mistake I made? Anyway I finished my homework, logged off fishlore, and was walking to my room to go to bed. I stopped and turned off the lights on the betta tanks in the living room (two are short a timer atm) and then I was just about to lie down... when I remember the Coffeefolia... So 2.5 hrs of sitting beside my ten gal on a piece of plywood... and it's only kinda crispy... I didn't want to put it back in the ten b/c I still have that algae on it so I dropped it in one of the empty 2.5's (there's a snail keeping the water cycled) so I'll grab and pick and let you guys know if there's any sign of life to it in the morning...
I'll try to think of it as an... experiment...
(really hoping for the best because it's one of my favorite plants)

Awww, I'm sorry you forgot the plant - I can totally feel for you when homework takes over the mind. Good luck on the...experiment.

Good morning Red. By all means let us know the results of your "experiment".
Thanks!

Ok so I just took a look at the coffeefolia and the edges of the leaves are still sort of "crispy" but coloring is normal and the middle of the leaf feels fine. I'll keep an eye on it for awhile to make sure it's not gonna keel over on me.

Hello,

I bet it will be fine.... I have an anubia that I "re-tied" to some driftwood and I took so long getting it just right that when I was done, it looked very sad and dried. It's been back in the tank and the snails have devoured the leaves but new ones are coming back. It's not as beautiful as it used to be but it is a very nice and healthy green... Let's see a picture of yours.....

I too think it should make it Red. Did you remove the leaves with Algae or spot treat?
