what carpet plant

i have 2 kribensis male and female and i am looking for a carpet forming plant but i don't want something that is going to cover the whole bottom of the tank and leave the kribensis with no gravel to dig and no place to live due to the fact they live at the bottom of the tank. so what can i have i was thinking dwarf hairgrass but that gows quick and most likely going to cover the whole bottom of the tank. i just want something to cover a small area and a little at the front of the tank.

please coment and leave som ideas

Well, it really depends on what kind of lighting you use, whether or not you use CO2 or fertilizer....

You can get some great ideas here that will fit your specifications: http://www.plantgeek.net/plantguide.php

I agree. Carpet plants generally speaking require alot of light as they will tend to grow tall rather than stay close to the ground with weaker light.
Mosses are the exception. You could grow some moss on flat pieces of slate (tie it on to get it started) and the put them where you want them. If they get too bushy just pull it out and trim it. I have some done this way and its nice to be able to "redecorate" withouth too much effort.
