Need a little tip and help please!

Would someone kindly point out what type of aquarium plant is this and what water qualities is needed for this plant to thrive? I currently have a few discus in the tank along with tetras.

Is it planted in the substrate or tied to a rock? Did it come in pot? What did the root system look like?

Beautiful plant! Looks great as a center piece I'm not sure either. I do have a few names in the list but they don't really match in the photo. Hope you find out soon. Best of luck!

That's a head scratcher. ^_^ It resembles an overgrown fluffy Java fern, but the root system you described isn't a rhizome.

Hmm...My other, best, guess is a giant hygrophila:

Giant Hygrophila

I'm no plant expert, but that looks pretty similar.Narrow leafed variety of hygrophila

looks pretty close to me Chozon! The thing that keeps throwing me off is the red stem in picture #3.

Are there several plants bunched together? or is it all one plant. The leaves look like willow Leaf Hygrophila (Hygrophila salicifolia) to me. http://www.plantgeek.net/plantguide_viewer.php?id=279
