Question: Amazon Swords roots

Hello.

I have huge 30-50cm tall Amazon Swords, and I was wondering, do I ever have to pull them out from the gravel and then use scissors to trim the roots a little bit? Would that be okay for the plants?? I don't want to hurt them in anyway that they will either die or have something bad happen to them.

Thanks.

Thanks although the article did not say anything about trimming the roots. I've had to propagate my amazon swords many times. That is how I started from having two amazon swords to 10 small ones growing in my tank, and they are growing bigger and bigger weekly.

You can trim the roots. I have lots a big swords and I do it. Leave the roots about 2 to 3 inches long so you have enough to replant it without it floating away.
