Freshwater Suggestions

Ok I have got two 20 gal tanks. They both have gravel substrate in them. I am looking to get some live plants that will work in them. The one tank has neons, platys, cory cat, pleco, and male guppies. The second tank is going to have guppies only (male and female). Looking for plants that would be easy to get to take off and thrive without alot of extra work involved in the process. Know that this is the place to start getting ideas as I am sure there will be many suggestions along with some good advice.

www.plantgeek.com has a nice plant guide with easy plants seprated. They also have pics of other plants mentioned here.
Java Fern, Java Moss, Anubias, Anacharis, Vallisneria, guppy grass, onion plants, are but a few easy to maintain plants.

Well, I have mostly Amazon Swords in my 29 gallon tank and my other tank also has amazon swords and some Cabombas. My pond in my backyard near the Amazon river (water from the river flows into the pond and then out) I have fishes that swim into the pond, and it's filled with Amazon Swords and other South American Plants

Guppies like planted tanks usually, and they like floating plants too especially the Riccia since they float up at the top, and they are perfect for live breeders to hide in.

Java moss I think in my opinion are the easiest to take care of but spread like crazy! They do pretty well as foreground and mid-ground. Oh, and when you purchase plants, be sure to get plants that cover foreground, mid-ground and backdrop. The Plantgeek website which was given to you above by Nate sort out categories of plants to make it easier for you to choose! Good luck!
