Java Fern Rocks

So I've had my Java Fern for a while (best four dollars spent at PetSmart ) and have several daughter plants. I know that I need some kind of porous rock or driftwood, but I'm not sure where to find either of those, or what kind would be best for my plant. Any help at all is greatly appreciated.

Any kind of rock that doesnt affect your pH will work. It doesnt have to be porous but the more smooth the longer it will take to attach. Rocks with a rough surface will work the best.
To test a rock to see if it will affect your Ph drip some vinegar onto it. If it bubbles it will make your Ph rise. This test works but IMo vinegar isnt always strong enough. The most fool proof way is to put the rocks in some water and test the PH before and after.
Welcome to Fishlore BTW!

Java fern tends to attach to wood fastr than rock and looks great.

Thanks to both of you. I've been looking for some nice driftwood, but not living close to the beach has multiple downsides. Glad to know that any old rock will work okay (thanks Nate!).
