Please help me id this dark fern-like plant

Bought this at a local pet store some time back. I haven't seen any there in a while, so I can't check to see what it is. It was sold in those plastic containers that have plants and some sort of moisture gel.

I looked at the plants in the plant section here, and also at aqua botanic, but couldn't find any matches. Can anyone tell me what it is?

Color is dark green. It has a tough texture and looks like a fern of some sort. Seems to do reasonably well with stock lighting, but has not grown much. The goldfish generally leave it alone. The roots look like maybe I should have it attached to some driftwood and not in the substrate, but I'm not sure.

Thanks

Pete

Aqua fern? If so, it's not really an aquatic plant.

It's a terrestrial plant sold as an an aquatic plant. IIt dies away after a little while.

I was thinking for a bit that it remineded me of a plant in my tank. I was told it was a type of aquatic fern that's related to java fern. It's been doing well for me so far.

Aqua Fern, that's it, thanks. I'm surprised it's not really an aquarium plant. You have to wonder how they get away with selling it as one.

I was duped in the same way, and I only just realized it a little while ago. (I'm surprised the plant lasted in the water as long as it did.) I decided to move it to a pot, and had trouble finding any care tips. All I could find was that it prefers high humidity, and begins to dry out in humidity levels under 60%. I put it in my frog vivarium. We'll see how long it lasts there. (If anyone else knows anything further about PROPER care of this terrestrial plant, please contact me; I'd love to be able to actually keep it alive.)
