Flame Moss

Has anyone here in the forum used Flame Moss before? I just bought 3 packs for $15 shipped. It said on the site that is low light and easy to care.
Thanks.

I've not used but have seen it here http://www.aquamoss.net/Flame-Moss/Flame-Moss.htm and really like the looks of it. I haven't seen any for sale around here.

Hi navyscuba,

I've got flame moss now. Get ready, that stuff grows like a weed! My tanks are low light. I've got a bunch tied to a coconut cave and then on some driftwood. The snails love searching thru it for food. I plan to get some shrimp and I know they will love it too. It gets pretty long and I have to trim it when it reaches the top of the water or before then if it looks scraggly. I just take out the coconut cave and turn it upside down and give it a "hair cut".... The moss I trim off can be used elsewhere; tied to a rock, etc. Good luck with your flame moss!

I love the looks of flame moss as well though I dont have any as of yet.
The microsword is a neat plant as well that makes a great ground cover. My substrate wont hold it down though. It really would be easier to plant in sand. I look forward to seeing the pics!
