Guppy grass

I was on plantgeek and saw guppy grass and it reminded me of Bermuda grass. We have Bermuda grass growing all over in my yard so could I grab some peices out of it yard and set them in quaratine for a couple of days then stick them in my aquarium.

Btw are they fully aquatic

Good morning. I'd say no. Yard grass is not the same as aquatic grass and would not survive.

I have Bermuda grass around my pond and it will grow down to the potted plants and grow in the plants substrates then start growing down to the bottom of my pond

Try it out and see I could be completely wrong here. Let us know the outcome If it does grow I don't see that it would harm the fish as long as it hasn't been dosed with any type of chemicals.

In case if it works out, can I have some? I'll pay!

Grass out of your yard will drown and die. Sorry It is not meant to be submerged for long periods of time.
Guppy grass on the other hand is an aquatic plant. they are not even remotely related.

I don't know how long it will last but I stuck some in the travel and so far the plant is growing. I hope it works

Ok I have set up two experiments, a small clump in the gravel and I took some and put it in a pot next to the betta bowl with some strands in the bowl. Drum roll please... The grass in the fish tank looked good and actually grew. But after a while the edges started to brown and it finnaly died. The stuff in the betta bowl... The grass started to grow and it kept growing, it grew all over in the betta bowl, until my mom discovered it and threw it out
