I am going to move some fish around and stock my 46G - 36" bowfront with
an angel, some bolivian rams, corydoras and tetras, all starting with juvies.
The tank is fully cycled, has been up and running for 8 months with fish (that I'll move out)
and ready for a full load of these juvies when I do.
The
pH is 8.2, KH 10 dh and the
GH is 1 dh to whatever is necessary.
We have a water softener, so I can, and do, raise the GH very easily.
I would like to add an
appropriate sized tetra in a group or school.
(I'll ask in the cory section about them.)
My main concerns with the tetra are:
#1 the angel eating the tetra
#2 the tetra eating/disturbing the plants
Tetras available locally are:
congo tetra, but have been told they get too large for this tank.
x-ray (pristella)
penquin (thayeria boehlker)
black neon
glo-lite
beckford pencil
but I'm open to suggestions.

Thanks for your time and any input,
alicem
