i'm new here and i have this plant that i just found out the name of, it's a hygrophilla polysperma.one section of it is growing way to big for my tank so i want to trim it down but all along the stem it's got a ton of large roots growing on it and i don't want to kill them because i would like to replant the trimmed pieces.is it possible and if so then how should i go about doing this?

ahhh just pick a spot and cut lol
i know seems crazy but stemmed plants are quite easy to maintain, cut it, rip off any leaves about 2 inches from the bottom of the stalk, and pop it in the gravel/substrate

it'll start growin again n/p, & use those roots to absorb nutrients and act as an entire new plant

perfect, thank you.i don't know why but that plant has been growing uncontrollably, i trimmed one section and got about 5 new little trimmings from it and now they are growing uncontrollably.i saw one the same at my LFS and it looked VERY sick compared to mine.
