Lucy, I saw that, no it's not the one I had in mind, she even had pics. It's not necessary really. I remember it, just wanted to see it again, my 10 g looks crummy and needs some help. I'm ok without the thread. No need to go to any more trouble, thank you!!

Your welcome.
Now that you mention the pics, she has a sticky up in this section with pics. Here it is:

Yep the title would kind of throw you off. I hadn't planned to put that in but since I was going to divide that plant I might as well show how I was going to clean the algae off as well Hope it's helpful

Of couse it's helpful!! That's why I went back looking for it
?, When you attach these plants to rocks are you expecting them to attach to the rock or attach to the substrate? I htought they would attach to the rock but haven't seen it happen, been a couple/few months in the oldest cases.
No fert yet but plenty of growth.

Yes the Java ferns will attach to the rocks. The Bolbitis also but it and the anubias attach to wood easier. Some Anubias I have attached to rock and some laid on the substrate.

Does it seem like a long time, 2 plus months that they haven't attached to rocks?
Or am being impatient, as usual?

I just don't pay any attention to how long it takes but seems like two months is a long time. Are they not attached at all?

Java & anubia, to rock with a rubber band. Ive also got a fern with some beautiful rhizomes swirling around driftwood but hasn't attached itself yet.
As I said, I havent used fert yet, not against it, just haven't gotten any yet. Plus, there seems to be plenty of growth with the leaves themselves. All low lighting, that came with the tank.

The Rhizomes have to be pressed firmly against whatever you want it attached to. thats the only reason I can think of that they might not attach.
I keep a bottle of Flourish Excel around but my 75g is the only one I dose anything like regularly. I didn't even do that until I put some swords in. I needed something to use the nutrients up faster and the Flourish helps the plants do that. That tank is heavily stocked and heavily fed. I do extra water changes also
the rest of the tanks do just a well plant wise and don't get ferts. So don't be in a hurry, most slow growers don't need it.

You know what I think you wrote the magic words... the RHIZOME has to be firmly against whatever... I was being particular that the leaf itself was more attached. I'll make some changes.
Thank you yet again.
