Java Ferns

Excellent sticky's on the plants!!!

New Question: will the java fern babies grow as floating plants once i remove them with their roots?? I don't want to attach them to anything if they will make interesting floating plants.

I never had any luck with them floating since they always seem to get stuck to the filter intake. I just stuck some in a little hole/opening on some of my driftwood. Maybe you would have better luck with them floating than I did.

Thank You
The babies tend to tumble around and eventually wind up stuck to the filter uptake tube. They will stay attached to the parent plant for a long time if the current isn't too strong.
I keep the babies pulled off of the ones in my 75 gallon because I want to see how big the parent plant will get. I assume the babies pull some sustenence from the parents as long as they are attached.

I have some other floating plants that the current keeps in the corner under the light....I will try sticking them in there to see if the grow..short stems and long roots
