white hair algae

I just noticed I am getting a lot of white hair algae on my plants near the top of my tank. Now mind you, I just switched from 30 watts of light to 110 watts of light about 2 weeks ago. If I cut back on the hours of light, will it go away

How many hours per day are your lights on?

IMO the lights by themselves certainly aren't overkill at 2W per gln. Are you dosing
Co2 and or ferts?
