So i recently bought a lil bunch of Tropical Hornwort and was really surprised how fast the stuff grows lol. Is there a way to maybe trim it or if i cut the stem will i be able top plant the trimmin to make a bigger " bush" ?

To the best of my knowledge, if you cut one hornwort plant in two, you then have two hornwort plants. It doesn't have a root system, it just grows.

I've got some myself - haven't had superb luck with it, but I have a feeling it's due to the lighting I've had until this point. Just got a 65W PC, and my corkscrew val, at least, has taken off. Haven't noticed much in the hornwort, though. Gonna start adding Flourish this weekend... Sorry. [/tangent]

thanks thats what i thought. as for ur lightin thing... lol i only have a 10w bulb and that **** thing is like a weed. i do have a lil hair algea i think but i just reach in and grab the clumps when they get real bad.

Try getting some shrimp for the algae - ghost shrimp are cheap (can usually get 2-3 for a dollar), and they're really cool to watch! Amano shrimp are bigger, and probably hardier, but they're ~$4 a pop.
