Does anyone know a good DIY way to help plants root in gravel? Mine keep floating to the surface

Maybe if you put large pebbles or rocks around them they would stay in the substrate long enough to root.

Ive tried that but the problem is i have one annoying tetra who thinks its funny to eat the leaves and pull them out of the substrate in the mean time

I dont think it will be much of a problem as i am getting some ones that need lower lights, and i wont take them out the teracotta pots straight away, was just abit curious to see if there was a way to save these ones.
