I can't answer your second question, as I don't see any pics.
As for damaged leaves, most plants will do better if you remove them. I will say that, though I am a decent gardener, I often miss damaged leaves, and a lot of plants will do fine.

Excellent.
The second plant looks really healthy.
Question about the first plant. The leaf with the hole in it looks healthy, but the stem looks bent and damaged. Is it, or is this a trick of the photo?
If the stem is damaged, I'd clip it. Otherwise, I'd leave it. With the brown-spotted leaves, I'd wait until the leaves look a little more damaged before trimming them, but that's just me.

the stem just grew funny so it has a goofy curve in it! also there is a leaf that you cant see that has a gash in it too but that leave looks even more healthy that the front one! so ill just leave it and if gets worse or the leave starts to look bad ill cut it off!

Sounds good. I'm a big fan of letting nature take care of itself. I have only pulled one leaf from my crypts, and they are growing huge, as well as propagating very well.
