I have java fern and it started to come out some leafs. I was wounder if there a way to split the fern?

if you cut the rhizome in half it will be fine. the rhizome is the horazontal part of the root.

Is it little plants growing from one of the leaves? This is how the plant actually reproduces. I let the little plants come off on their own. I have even had a mat of little plants all over the leaf. If the plant it to big for an area that you want it just cut the rhizome making sure you have at least 6 leaves to each section.

also what kind of plant food should I sure. Can I use plant food that come in a stick or I have to use liquid food

I use seachem flourish in my tanks. You could end up with a beautiful mat of java fern...I love when that happens but usually mine will just get one or 2 little plants on it at a time.
