They keep eating my plants

Does anybody know a type of plant or plants that can be kept with tinfoil barbs and will not be eaten by them, because they have eaten every plant I put for them. It also has to be live.

well, I would reccomend plastic plants for such fish, but you are wanting live plants, so I would reccomend Java Fern, but you might want to consider feeding them in larger portions so they aren't tempted to much on the plants.

Anubias are also supposed to taste bad to fish.

Both of those are good suggestions, Bolbitis is another that is pretty safe from nibbling. you may want to feed them some veggie flakes once in a while to supply their veggie needs. They would also eat duckweed which is a floating aquarium plant. One of our members had some in their tank but I can't remember who it was. It can be invasive and cover the whole surface but with a fish that would eat it it is perfect.

I have already tried Java Ferns and feed them alot more than you expect. It is not because they are hungry that they go after the plants it is because they are strictly herbivores and go after anything that is green. Also every month I feed them cucumbers for their veggi needs, but I will try your sugestions thanks.
