I ordered some plants on aquabid

Got about 3 bunches of water sprite that got mailed out today. Im such a nerd because its like i won the lotto or something lol im so excited. I have been trying to win a plant auction for 3 weeks. I havent tried this plant before but i have read they are great natural filters. So i will have java moss, guppy grass, water sprite and two unknown rooted plants in my 30g. Though the guppy grass isnt doing so good in there because the filter makes the water move around too much. Its doing good in my 10g though. I swear im addicted to all things fish. Maybe i will try java fern next time if its low light.

I'm always excited when I'm buying live plants too, lol . Water Sprite should do well - it's a relatively non-demanding plant that can live even in low-light. It can be either planted in substrate or left floating. I have it planted and floating both. With good conditions it can grow very dense and beautiful .

I just arrived and im so happy. It was a auction for the bunches but it looks like he gave me 4 which is cool. Hopefully it will do well in my tank so i can then spread it around to my others. My fry like it already. Im just letting it float around.

My java moss keeps floating up and getting into the filter. I put part of it between two rocks so hopefully that will keep it still. Not sure what else i can do.

Java Moss should be tied to aquarium decor (you can tie it with a black cotton thread), otherwise it will keep floating up and getting into the filter forever, lol .

Congrats on the new plants. I know I was always excited when I bought plants (won them) from AquaBid. I was like a child with a new toy. I hope they do well for you. Don't worry about the Java Moss I think everyone has had trouble getting it to stay in one place for very long, but once it starts growing to something it will stay.
