has anybody else noticed that if java moss is left in standing water for about 2 days it starts smelling REALLY REALLY bad??

well, the stagnat water is probably the smelling thing

Yup! I put mine in a cup of water by the window to let it green up (it was turning brown) and it stunk up the house. I never got to put it back in my tank though cause my cat knocked over the cup of water onto my surge protector that my tank was plugged into................but that's a whole other story
